I used to be a keyboard warrior.

I do it less now. There are a few times I get a bit heated in some comment threads on here, but most days I either say to myself, "nah not today" or press the back button while in the middle of typing up a heated comment after giving it a moment to think, "is this really worth my time?"

Honestly as ive gotten older I find myself less inclined to get in a debate or just to bother trying to defend myself if someone makes a comment at me. In a way its nice to care less that some online random thinks im stupid or insane. There was an instance recently where i said something, got a judgemental reply and honestly just put my hands up and went "whatever you wanna think"

And i think within a couple hours i basically almost entirely forgot about it. Its less stress.

AYRT
I've gone through something similar too.

I know the dynamics around here (and online in general) where some people just don't want to try to understand my point and so it's not worth the energy to comment back to clarify/defend/continue my end of the discussion.

There is definitely a freedom that comes with realizing you don't owe some rando on the internet a response, for any reason.
