There was a mod in a super old fandom I made friends with who I enjoyed chatting with in DMs. We left the fandom at different times, I lost access to my old email. I think about them from time to time, mostly wondering what they're up to now.

Another fandom friend from a long time ago. We sent each other birthday presents once. I used the wallet they got me for years, and then gave the wallet to one of my nieces because she really liked it. I mostly remember loving the fics they wrote. I can still remember my favorite fic of theirs fairly well, tried to find it and save on a Word doc via Way Back Machine but I was only able to stitch together a few chapters ='(
We were friends on social media, and kept in touch for a while after we left the fandom at different times. They seemed happy and active with friends and their S/O from what I recall seeing their FB page a few years ago. I hope they're still happy and thriving. From what I recall, they felt left out in some circles in our fandom (NGL that fandom was rather clique-y), but I always enjoyed talking to them (and again, I loved their fics).
