Snape grew up as a child not in wizarding world so he wouldn't be entirely unaffected by or unaware of muggle politics, though. You don't suddenly forget growing up a POC because you went to school where they "didnt see race"... plus other muggleborns and halfbloods would come in with that socialization intact. It's not like all the students are purebloods

I think it could be very different to explore the differences between wizarding culture and the muggle world in this regard. And also the differences even within wizarding culture between the wider culture that accepts halfbloods and muggleborns and the more restrictive pureblood culture. Maybe it might even be possible that pureblood culture has less racism?
