I don't think I've ever seen one IRL, so it seems like the world as a whole voted not cool, at least for the time being. Maybe they'll make a comeback?

I had one growing up but as an adult, they always seem like a safety hazard. I wish they had like....elegant ones though because watching the blobs is relaxing.

"Elegant" might be a stretch, but lavalamp.com has customizable ones if you were trying to match decor or something.

super cool. I wanted one when I was around middle school, but i was too poor to afford one. now i can't really justify spending money on something so frivolous, but if someone were to buy one for me they'd be my heroes lol

I had one in the 90s when they were cool again after being uncool for a while. like anything else they come and go.

I'm on the side of kinda cool but it's not my aesthetic right now. Back when I was a radio DJ in wide-legged jeans hanging out with punk bands every other weekend, totally my jam. Old guy who spends more brain power on my garden than the contents of my mp3 player? Not my vibe.

Pretty cool.

I perversely picked up one that runs on tealights instead of electricity. Takes a while longer to get going but you don't have to fuss about looking for an outlet.
