I am semi-convinced that "femboy" persists as a niche exists more to crack eggs than to goon to. Like seriously, the amount of transfems in my subcultural milieu who specifically cracked their egg on femboy and futa is... outsized. (And like, that one streamer who dressed as a girl for ages and swore up and down it was for the bit, still 100% cishet... AND THEN came out as a girl after all.) All of which sounds more condemnatory than is meant - I really mean it as a neutral observation - but I kinda think if you are a cishet male consumer 100% comfortable in your masculine gender, you won't grok the appeal.
