I believe this, but that was a very low-hanging fruit.
What could be expected from a crossover of a silly and fuzzy continuity with a continuity infamous as a fountain of bad fan art?
Does it really help that this was an “official” crossover? The phenomenon of fan art entering official continuity is known as “[lunatics] running the asylum” for a reason, no? And they rarely start in such a bad position.
