That's great OP! As much as I normally like dark and "serious" stories, I am 29 and dealing with PTSD issues, and cutesy happy kids shows like MLP are a big help to me when I'm feeling down. Sometimes it's nice to spend time in a world where things are pretty, sweet and kind.

40 and I've always loved Hello Kitty/Sanrio! Growing up, my Sanrio items were precious few, we were pretty poor and most of my childhood was rural to boot. So now that I'm an adult, I do find it really healing to get to have all the Hello Kitty I want-- I'm playing the video game (becoming best friends with Chococat was a pretty big moment for me), I'm doing the Pipsticks Hello Kitty sticker subscription for a year and making my journal Hello Kitty-themed... It just makes me happy, and it's something I'd have DREAMED of as a kid.

I enjoyed this show despite its flaws and it had a cult following, but I don't think whoever was making the big decisions truly understood what made the show so popular in the first place. They (obviously) didn't value Nicole Beharie enough, maybe because they didn't really get that it wasn't about Ichabod being the star, it was a team effort and them as a duo in particular.

They also didn't seem to really grasp the full potential of the characters, nor did they use them particularly well. I don't know how active the fandom was re: fanfiction, but this scenario would be perfect for it because it wouldn't take much to write a more compelling story with those characters than the show managed on its own.

Or do you think it's possible to be happy with just an experience, the journey matters more than the destination kind of thing?

Or is that simple contentment at a moment and not true happiness? That without a destination there's no journey to enjoy?

Is there a difference between contentment and happiness?

What are you seeking to be happy? A moment of triumph or a moment of tranquillity?

Barely solved it, and that was with teamwork from my roommates.

Thoroughly unsatisfying in addition to being tricky, IMHO.

Dude's still going after 20+ hours, doing nothing but telling the truth about the orange and the rancid musk. Of course, he's joined by other Democrats, so good on them too. I just wish they would've embraced the filibuster during the orange's first term, and even during the last half of Biden's term (you know, when the Republicans gained back some of their power... elections have consequences. All of them). I also hope they aren't limiting their big plans to this one show, because they won't get very far. But this is still nice to see.
