If the person worrying about their RP partner and whether they can send them things outside of birthdays/holidays...

My experience, as the friend-on-a-fixed-income-living-paycheck-to-paycheck... I would personally be grateful and emotional and all, but I can see how some people might feel awkward or indebted in some way. And it might be difficult to reach out and *ask* if they could use any extra help, if they don't have a ko-fi up or anything like that. But, there are some specific things that are easier to send-- if you're both coffee drinkers, you could send a package of nice coffee their way, with a note about how since you can't get together for coffee geographically, you figured this was the next best way to share the kind you found you enjoy. It's not enough of a staple to feel like you're buying their groceries, not too expensive a treat to be for no reason, but it IS the kind of thing that, at the end of the month, is the first thing that might get put back on the shelf.
