For anyone in NC who voted in the 2024 election

(Anonymous) 2025-04-08 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
The loser of the North Carolina Supreme Court race in 2024, Jefferson Griffin, has repeatedly challenged the results (it was recounted twice with his opponent, Allison Riggs, still winning), and then sued to have around 65,000 legal votes tossed out (citing some ineligibility nonsense, despite the fact the voters showed ID to vote. Yes, this bullshit and sets a dangerous precedent for anyone who doesn't like the outcome to an election).

If you are an NC voter or know someone who voted in NC last year, you may want to check if your vote counted. The Triangle Blog Blog has a list of affected voters and instructions on how to update one's voter file so that the vote counts (because of course, they would put this on the voter). Their site is below.

Yes, this decision will be appealed, but if I were on that list, I wouldn't leave anything to chance. Though it's just probably just a good idea to check your voter registration/file from time to time.
