eh i get this.

if you're gonna not show up, it better be justified or else you're a dick, basically. and yeah, if i had to choose, i'd rather the no-show person have been a nice person who unfortunately hit an actual, minor, solvable crisis than have been a dick all along who just didn't give a shit about everyone else.

it's not that i wish harm upon nice people, obvs. but if a nice friend has an emergency that's understandable and others can try to help. if the person turns out to just be a dick then everyone's time is wasted. even worse if the shitter shows up later joking about it like haha sry i kept 10 people waiting again, i didnt set an alarm lol nbd right?

fuck em, those people deserve the emergency they didn't have.

Or even just communicate. Most people will be understanding if you have a genuine emergency and let them know about it!
