I think that people type TROLL to dismiss an opinion and to make the other person go away from FS. People on FS do not use TROLL to mean 'an intentional act to rile up people and cause commotion in a space'.

An anon a few comments up has admited to typing TROLL even when they think that the other person talks about their real opinion.

This one is a joke:
A person can troll on FS by repeating a common opinion. Because many people on FS hold uncommon opinions.

This one is an advice:
Do not spend your evenings engaging people on FS because people will curse at you and spoil your mood.

I don't get death threats but I see it here. How to explain... It's a feeling, a vibe I get from fs. I see other people getting hostile answers, read some dark topics, some weird things from clearly disturbed people. And I get angry at the people who do it because I want to enjoy FS. It's a me problem. You give some nice solutions. The thing is that the vibe is wrong so posting here doesn't feel great. I even stopped engaging with secrets about my fandoms and book threads, and I don't know how or even if I should change that.

AYRT. That makes sense. I find the atmosphere on FS insufferable every other day so when I don't enjoy it, I just don't post or look. At the same time, I lose sympathy for the recurring anons who complain about the quality of discussion here because I notice certain kinds of opinions and secrets get "troll called", ex one months ago where someone posted that interracial ships are a squick or the recurring anons with pet geopolitical issues. Sure, it's a secret for a reason, but it did feel like bait to rile people up. Or not. We don't know. Other anons will tell me they get rude responses to secrets they made, but never specify what their secrets or opinions even are, since there are plenty of bad actors here. That's why my advice to anons angry about other anons calling them trolls or being rude is to just get over it, they can't hurt you irl and it hasn't stopped others from shooting their mouth off.
