The scting in Black Doves was good but the rest was so much froth and bubbles that collapsed into nothing. The McGuffin was disappointing and the most relatable character was the Tory husband, which is not a plot twist I was expecting..! whut. I was looking forward to another Tinker, Tailor and didn't get it.

Agreed. I genuinely can’t remember what the whole conspiracy was about in the end. (Some dumb kid who happens to be the son of a very powerful woman?) Admittedly, I didn’t care very much by that point.

I found the husband surprisingly relatable too. And she doesn’t even tell him some cover story to explain why she’s been periodically disappearing and abandoning their kids.
