Record scratch, this is an adult man auto-scoffing? Whew. I'm 39. My partner is 46. I thought you guys were actual 20-somethings lol. Immediately scoffing at something I like is a no deal for me (and I, in turn, do not immediately scoff at things other people like); I know some people are really casual and into teasing but that's not a dynamic I'm interested in and haven't been since my late-twenties.

But I totally get how you responded. My default is to downplay my interests when someone seems to disapprove. It's so annoying. :\
