People who write genderbends and don't tag it as such get inordinately upset when people politely ask them to tag it because het does not belong in the gay section.

IMHO genderbend in any kind of RPF is only using the person's name to trick people into reading it, because no one will read their fem!OC.

Hm. Are you responding to the right comment? I was asking for clarification for the "get over yourself" reply because I don't really know what I should get over myself about, lol. Like. I don't get it. It's probably my fault so lemme rephrase my original comment: your dislike of genderbends is totally valid and understandable, OP! I hate them too, like I can get behind heterofying fictional ships, but doing that to RPF confuses me. Personally, YKINMKATO, so I filter genderbends out myself and I can def understand how frustrating it must be to encounter one the somehow slipped through (or the author mistagged it on purpose?). You're cool for just wanting to avoid them instead of saying they and people who like them are bad. I've seen people who weren't as courteous as you and have been raising a genderbend-related stink for months, and it wasn't nice to see even as a genderbend disliker. I hope it's clearer now haha.

I don't know what it's like in bandom, but in terms of kpop rpf, there's definitely an enthusiastic niche for genderbending M/M ships into F/F ships, especially on twitter. I'm not a fan of these either tbh, but to each their own.
