Shockingly, despite not seeing an MCU property since Endgame. And hating Reed Richards in the comics, I'm excited about the Fantastic Four movie.

I’m actually looking forward to seeing two new movies in theaters: The Accountant 2 and Thunderbolts. They seem like not very mentally taxing fun and that’s just what I could use right now.

As for TV, two shows with new seasons coming out soon: Poker Face and Leverage Redemption.

Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I finally took the plunge and bought a new raised garden bed. The one we have was handmade (and kind of shoddy), so I bought a premade one. I'll be putting it together this weekend under the car port. I won't be able to fill it though because it will be raining all weekend.

Other than that, trying out the new season of Overwatch, the new Rivals event, and trying to get the upgraded trophy on Phasmophobia. I might also try South of Midnight now that I'm not half dead with covid. And of course, crocheting!

I tried Marvel Rivals today. It took four hours to download all 72GB, another fifteen minutes for the game to launch, then 20 minutes for the tutorial to load 99% of the way before I got a CTD. I poked around Reddit and the Steam discussion for a bit and then deleted the game and had it removed from my account.

Going to movies tonight, to the rerelease of Revenge of the Sith. Other than that, no plans right now. Watch something I guess.

Oooh, that's exciting! I have two raised beds (just a bit raised above ground, they came with the house) and they really make a difference. What are you going to be planting in them, once you get the chance to do so?

I'll be playing more Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader! I got stymied very early game and quit for a while but recently restarted and have been having a blast.

I'll also probably pot up some veggie starts that are outgrowing their little cups. I am so delighted with how well my seedlings are doing so far. ;3;

That premade raised flower bed is very tempting, you're on the right track! I'm still in the "cutting egg cartons in half to start my indoor herb garden" phase myself haha!

This weekend I'll be starting my commonplace book and looking at spreads on Youtube and Pinterest! I'm excited for it.

Helping kick off a bake sale tomorrow, checking out a new store, and then probably taking it easy and playing video games - rough week.

Going to my uncle's birthday party. I am not really happy about it, but I've promised my father to attend to.
Also doing some usual leasure things - couple of exhibitions, checking interesting coffee-place

Today is local yarn shop day, so I’m going to my LYS. Also getting carpet treads for the stairs to the basement so no one else slips down them. The gutters need cleaning out. Plants need planting and weeds need pulling. The sprinkler system needs turning on and checked for leaks. You know, home ownership stuff.

Other than that, I’ll be listening to my podcasts and knitting.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's secret post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more convenient for everyone.


P.S. Please don't worry if you've submitted a secret and it hasn't been posted yet. I usually post these threads before running out of the previous batch of secrets to get a head start on the next batch.

Don't read Terry Pratchett books!! If you do, then your brain will start working, you'll start seeing the world around you, and you'll never be happy again. I should know, it happened to me. I was happily living in ignorance until I read Pterry books and they made me start to look up. Now I can't stop it.

Everyone is surprised that I love The Catcher in the Rye, because I'm a very outspoken feminist and have been so for years.

But to me, he isn't. He's a misanthrope. Also, those who call him whiny are missing the signs of his trauma and poor mental health.

I love the fan creations for Luca and have saved many of them. Also, I know every plot beat.

There's a picture of Adam Driver holding a sheep over his (big, broad, strong) shoulders.

One of the hottest images I've ever seen. Literally burned into my brain, and was my phone background for a hot minute.

I think the only parasocial relationship I'm guilty of is with the McElroy Brothers. Their media was just so comforting during my most traumatic times.

I’m not the one who usually does this thread but I’ll miss tomorrow’s.

1. Thank you to everyone who helped with choosing a cat food! The very first food suggested (Reveal) is the exact size and shape my semi feral wanted.

2. Thank you to the anon offering support to me yesterday when I said my world is crumbling. Having a random stranger share a kind word makes a huge difference sometimes and this time it was really needed and much appreciated.
