All the Zeldas have personalities but none of them are the Zelda. Like I said she ranges from dainty helpless flower to warrior woman and there's no canon personality for her. When a character can be everything and you don't know what they'll be next, their character concept isn't actually anything.

It's different from the way that Nintendo has given, say, Luigi a character that has been consistent through dozens of Mario games now.

Fwiw Link and Zelda have iconic character designs, for sure. They don't have much solid character behind them though.
