I'm the same way. It's like my mind identifies actors as objects, sort of, which makes me more able to take in their appearance as a whole. Whereas people I actually interact with, my brain is too busy with the content of our interaction to process their appearance in a visual way. I will remember particular traits or qualities if they stood out to me, but not their appearance as a whole.
