It's not supposed to read as hate, that's the point. It's subtle. No asexual you meet in a normal space is going to explain their asexuality by talking about not fancying a shag. In fact, most of us don't explain it at all and only do so online where other queer identities share who they are in terms of which genders they fancy a shag with. Although nowadays they don't have to explicitly talk about it in terms of sex, because that part is understood. As it will be with asexuality if more people understand what asexuality is. And more people are not going to understand what it is by ones like JKR trying to sweep us under the rug, and ones like you who keep whining that us talking about our existence is "oversharing."

It's just a continuation of the argument that queer people merely existing near straight people is "shoving it down their throats".

The amount of people who care about what other people do in bed is staggering, frankly. I wish nobody cared but that's really not the case.
