I feel it's more than 90% of anime fans who used to be here moved out to socmed. I sure wish they were still here, myself.

I kinda assumed the anime fans drifted away because we would have a few days a week for a few years that were mostly anime secrets with few comments.

Well, I don’t watch as much anime as I used to (the only new ones I’m watching right now are The Apothecary Diaries and Anne Shirley) and my opinions on them don’t really qualify as secrets, I think. It’d just be stuff like, “I think Anne Shirley should’ve been dubbed in Canada” and “I want Jinshi and Maomao to hook up”. I think the last anime adjacent secret I made was about the ending for JJK.

I feel kinda bad for saying this, but I’m thankful it’s not like that anymore.

I’m not against anime secrets, but when it’s such a large proportion, it stops feeling as much like a space for general fandom. I prefer a greater variety.

Probably just grown up or on social media. F!S on DW skews more towards live action and books now.

I actually still like anime, I like animation in general. I normally don't even think to post my anime related secrets here because there's so little anime discussion, maybe there's other people feeling the same? In general though I don't think anime is as popular here as back in the day.
