Microfandoms! Look, they aren't all great, I won't pretend there aren't small fandoms with ugly drama, but in my experience with old microfandoms, you get a lot of adults who know how to mind their business when there's a kink or headcanon they dislike but who are really excited to have anyone new get into it.
