I had one job where I worked M-Th week and it was literally life changing. I was so sad when that job ended. Now I'm back M-F 45hrs a week. It's not awful, but it's no four day work week.

I've stuck on a pretty low-payed job for years because it was 3 days a week. Also they were not pulling usual here "8-hours job but actually it is 9, because we are going to fuck over your lunch break"

Oh wow, 3 days a week sounds amazing.

I will say I do enjoy the paycheck that comes with my higher hours and 5hrs of OT every week. Also I get out at 4pm so I still feel like I have some of the day left. I've had a job where I got out at 6pm and that felt like I went from work to sleep to work and was awful.

Yeah, it was cool! Also for some time it was even sustainable, because I had odd jobs and being free on work days allowed some cheaper options for a lot of things.


I've got out of work at 7 now. And I have no fucking life left D: I get home, watch some youtube and go to sleep. They try to pull overtime too. I am looking for better options, because it sucks so much.

I once worked somewhere Mon-Thurs and they offered me Fridays (and 20% more pay) and I was like...you know, nah.

I did have a long commute, though. Maybe I would have done it if it was a ten-minute trip to work. I spent a whole workday on the road every week. :(

I feel ya. Long commutes SUCK. The head of the company I was with at the time just randomly decided that, since we had multiple offices, that MY ENTIRE DEPARTMENT SHOULD RELOCATE to another office that was 90 minutes away. I hated that year so much. It felt like I lost 15 hours of free time from my week. Thankfully, my supervisor thought it was a silly move considering we could do our work from any office and pushed for me to return to my original office.

Ugh! Thank goodness they fixed it.

I could have done my job from home, but they were too concerned about the "security of the computer system." It wasn't financial or health stuff!
