Re: Cat question for the hive mind (trigger warning - sick cat!) Kinda long, sorry.

No problem. I'm the person who lost their cat over the weekend, and while on one hand I'm glad I fought for her until the end because SHE wanted to fight, part of me regrets the misery she must have been in.

It's so hard to know, with cats. And it's so hard to let go.
I cried for Oliver for days, before *and* after. My poor fluff-bot....
*hugs*

Honestly, the big thing is... Are you monitoring his weight? Our precious girl was a mere 6 lbs by the end, because she'd been hiding something wrong. She'd always been sickly--looking back it was a miracle we had her as long as we did. Constant URIs, bad allergies, chronic ear infections...

So keep an eye on the weight.

I am. He was about 18 pounds and has plateaued at about 12, which is a lot, but he eats daily, kibble and soft food, and treats, too. He's been seen by the vet three times since he got diagnosed (back in August), and he seems to be holding on where he is.

Oliver dropped weight fast, as did another cat years ago, Scratch. So it's something I pay attention to, for sure. I'm so sorry for the loss of your cat.
