I wasn’t expecting it, but I think Thunderbolts might be giving me pretty close to what I’d design: story about a ragtag group of characters finding comfort in each other and learning to work together, fan analysis of the characters’ psychological issues, a decent proportion of non-shipping fanworks.

I thought I was done with the MCU but I must admit Thunderbolts is drawing me in. I haven't seen it yet, but I am interested. My only problem is I was an obsessive Steve/Bucky shipper and I'm worried that might ruin some of the fun for me. I'm so torn, because I love him and want to see more but I also kind of wish he wasn't in the movie.

I don’t know how I feel about Bucky in the movie myself. I like him as a character, but I just don’t get this new politician thing.

Without giving spoilers, I can say Bucky was in the film less than I expected and I think that was a good thing, giving the newer characters more screen time.

And there’s not really anything explicitly about Steve in it at all (unlike Falcon and Winter Soldier).
