Not only that, but things are going to get worse. He really will be a dictator if this passes the Senate because there will be nothing to stop him, not even the threat of criminal sanctions. He can just ignore anything he's told and do whatever he wants.

IMO they have an obligation to be on the front lines of the resistance, or at least be heavily involved, funding it, helping people behind the scenes, etc. They shirked their civic duty when fascism was literally banging on the front door, and now they need to fix things. And they will get no sympathy for their suffering the whole time.

I don't know if they'll really learn anything from this but I guess as long as they don't like being fucked for any reason, maybe they can be trained.

Didn't the architects of your country put an amendment in your constitution to allow ordinary citizens to stop this in a personal, but still Well Regulated, sort of way? I feel it was one of the real low numbered ones. If you are gonna skip your duty, you really do have nothing to complain about since you've tacitly accepted this. I keep being told by Americans it is time to do something. But none of them seem to do the thing.

I guess Americans just want to complain and have someone else do the work.

A LOT of people are doing something. You just don't see it on the news because legacy media is compromised. They kiss his ass and bend over backwards to appease him because they think it will otherwise hurt their bottom line. And whatever they do report is watered down, because god forbid the orange bitch think they're not on his side. But I guess that doesn't fit your narrative. It's just easier to shit on Americans instead of find out the truth because you don't want to believe we can do anything but bomb countries and wave flags (and to be fair, that criticism isn't entirely unwarranted, given America's actions in the past).

The problem is this asshole is doing things at an accelerated pace (not a surprise, since he literally came with a fascist playbook) and we need as many to hold the line as possible. Because right now America is building the resistance. Just because I feel some have a bigger obligation than others doesn't mean we don't all have our part to play.
