I reread the books about a decade ago (never touching them again for obvious Joanne-related reasons) and couldn't stand Ginny; I feel like the character development everyone kept insisting she had all took place conveniently off-page so JKR didn't have to put actual effort into the "why" of Harry/Ginny. (I always liked him better with Luna or Neville, fwiw)
