That's so cool! Like, honestly it's really hard to move out of your comfort zone and start talking to people, and even after being in online fandoms for literal decades, every single time I get into a new fandom I feel the same nervousness over interacting with people, but it really is worth it. Yeah, I'm with you OP! Knuckles has a lot of great nuance to him that tends to get distilled down to one of those tropes.

I could have wrote that last sentence in that secret, because I've been saying this exact thing. I find Knuckles being a contrast to Sonic a WAY better use of rivalry than Sonic and Shadow.

It always annoyed me how fandom portray Knuckles as dumb muscle. This isn't helped by some official Sonic media (Sonic Boom, I'm looking at you) turning him into an outright meat-head.
