Ugh, English spelling and its tenuous relationship to pronunciation.

I hate "likable" every time I have to write it. And "judgment".

Maybe it's cause I'm American... but these don't bother me. Unlike "binging" and "bingeing", there doesn't seem to be any possible ambiguity in pronunciation (especially with "judgment").

That said, English, being what it is, has so many ambiguous pronunciations it isn't funny, and plenty of them are nice short words like "read" and "lead".

Well, "likeable" and "judgement" are also acceptable ways of spelling those words.

___-able and ____-ible words don't seem to follow any real pattern, they're mega annoying.
