Or have him get it wrong in a way with real consequences. Or have him get it right only when it's too late. Shit, I'd have been happy if he got things unrelated-to-the-case wrong once in a while.

Yes, any of this.

I think you are a word, and I’m too tired to figure out what it is. :(

I did. And "trust".

Thank you!

I didn't even care about him always being right, I more wanted him to actually grow as a human being and maybe care about his friends. But he just kept being an asshole and getting worse. I love a loveable asshole, but not an unlovable asshole.

I don't mind this, because he's based on Sherlock Holmes, and the reason people like Sherlock Holmes is because he's a genius who solves cases, and that's what a lot of viewers enjoy about House, too.

As for his other failures, he had plenty! That stupid thing with the toilet tickets, the way he screwed up that poor other guy when he was confined, his relationships.

Let him have his thing; being good at medical diagnoses.

Even Holmes doesn't have a 100% success rate: Norbury.

I checked out of House when he disrespected the intersex young lady, kept insisting she was male, and kept referring to her with male pronouns. She was clearly distressed by this, but he had no regard for that and carried on as if she had been perpetrating a lie her entire life. That goes beyond asshole into irredeemable piece of shit territory.
