I always thought Dexter picked a good concept for its opening credits and executed it well.

(It’s a series of shots of him getting up and ready in the morning, very innocuous things framed to evoke violence… floss pulled tight around his fingers like a garrote, slicing a citrus that sprays red fluid, etc.)
