I would assume it has something to do with the timeline of when those invasives were introduced to other places. It just didn't happen there.

Yeah, kudzu is not a big problem in most of Europe, and Japanese knotweed is only recently becoming so. Also, most of Eastern Europe is still too cold. It's only just getting established in northern parts of the US and southern Canada now due to climate change.
