Yeah, I definitely feel this. I still watch anime and play JRPGs, but it takes me quite a while to actually finish a show or game because I have other interests (think it took me a year and a half to go through Fire Emblem 3 Houses, and I still haven't actually beaten every single route). And with how quickly fandom culture moves on, especially in the seasonal anime/JRPG space, I ended up losing a lot of my friends. Combined with being into weird niche stuff and how hard it is to meet people in a non-online space, it makes it hard to make friends just in general, too.
