I’ve both made and participated in this argument on FS in years past, and all I can say at this point is “it doesn’t change.” Both old and recent stories have this style of “trans woman” character who’s basically just a futa. I guess the concept appeals to some people more than any complaints push them away from it. And TBF, it’s not just wanting futas. Some people wish they were futas.

Isn't that the point though? If "basically futa" and people owned the kink and tagged it futa then nobody would have issues with futa and trans woman being used interchangeably when they're not the same thing. It's a labeling thing: futa tags increase, trans woman tags decrease, nobody said to stop producing or enjoying the works?
