Hmmmm. MCU, though mostly Steve Rogers. And I always seem to go back to DBZ after a break.

Most of my non-active fandoms are like banked embers: if I poke at them and give them new materials, or have someone to have fannish conversations with about them, my interest comes right back to life, no matter how long it's been.

Harry Potter. I know the controversy around JkR but I believe in death of the author and disregard everything about her.

I just love the world of Harry Potter and it got me into fanfiction/fandom communities.

HP's one of mine, too. I'll admit I didn't expect it to become that, but it has.

*high five* I thought it will be a controversial take.

Death of the author only works if the author is actually dead.

Nope, that's not what it means (and I'm pretty sure you know that).

OP

It literally means ignore author (if author) alive or dead, which is easy to do. I ignore all her interviews or official website. If not in the text then anything she says outside is ignored.

If only she would stop using the fans, even the ones who claim to hate her and use DotA, as justification as why she is right to hate trans people.

I regularly return to Due South, Star Trek, and Hannibal. I've been in all of them for at least a decade.

Phantom of the Opera, not so much because I'm always super into it as because I'll always be back eventually.

No. I used to think so. I thought that DW would be my forever fandom, but Moffat and Chibnall killed that. Imagine being so bad at showrunning they achieved what Michael Grade did not, and made the show unwatchable. And RTD2 has done nothing to revive it.

Tomb Raider. Got a little Shakey for a while with Reboot, but there's a solid foundation of Classic Lara fandom, and boy howdy do those gays HATE reboot more than me. Found my people. Now if only I can them to stop saying "kunty" and "mother" all the damn time.

Nintendo's games, especially the Mario and Zelda series. Played them since the NES years, and I hope to play them for as long as I can.

Death Note. It's my 'You're here forever' fandom since 2009 :'D
It had faded for a while, then 2020 happened and I found out about both the musical and drama series - boosting my love for the series which I've been riding ever since.
