I've shipped canon and non-canon through my fandom lifetime, but jfc this exactly OP.

I never expect my non-canon ships to go canon when I ship them, I just like the vibe and do my own thing in fandom as I always have, and if my ship doesn't end up happening? Oh well, it's not an actual issue and I get so weirded out by people who turn that not-happening into some injustice screed. No one is plotting against us, the writers just didn't consider it in that way and that is not actually a crime.

Plus maybe it's just me when I ship non-canon but I'm there for the canon dynamic anyway in canon so if they're friends their continued friendship in the canon is still going to make me happy. Because that's what made me ship them in the first place.

I memorized It's The End of The World by REM, We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel, and Hook by Blues Traveler as a kid because I thought it was a neat party trick.

I am pretty sure I can name all of the original 150 Pokemon.

Lots of songs unintentionally.

RANT! My boss wanted to air ship some goods from Nicaragua to Dallas for pickup to our warehouse.

Me: We should start airing it on Friday so it gets to Dallas over the weekend and we can get it by the Monday deadline.

Him: I want to air it today so we can get it picked up Thursday and delivered same day.

Me: Okay, but if we can't get it picked up we will get storage fees from the airport. So we should wait to air it.

Of course, he ignores me. It aired today and won't get to the airport until Friday.

Me: Well, it will have to sit at the airport over the weekend and we will have to pay $600 in storage fees.

Him: Can't we get it picked up Saturday and delivered Saturday?

Me: It is a holiday weekend plus our warehouse isn't open on Saturday. *confirms with trucking company* And if the driver gets to the airport and can't pick up, that is $400 TONU fee.

Him: Well, I guess we'll have to pick it up Monday.

Me: *SCREAMSSSSSSSS*
