Like the whole week; shit. But I have my piece written for dad's eulogy tomorrow and it let me get some thoughts out of my head. I ain't speaking though, otherwise I'll throw up again.

Not great! Though honestly the day itself has been fine, emotionally I've just been a ball of rage and depression this week. Prettty sure that's a sign my random period will show up within a week, but could also just be a reaction to the world falling apart around me.

I booked this week off so I could clean, since the annual apartment inspections usually happen mid-July in my building. I booked it off because I've been struggling with depression and it's worse than usual so I'm both messier than usual and fighting for motivation more than usual.

I got the notice today that it's happening tomorrow.

So I feel like scream-crying, trying to cram all the cleaning I was gonna do over the rest of the week into today. I've got my living room and kitchen unearthed (except for the pile of cleaning supplies in my kitchen, but I'm using those). The bathroom is done except for washing the floor and the tub, but I do those last, right before I go shower.

My bedroom has had all clothes and trash picked up but, otherwise, is still an over-cluttered, dusty, hot mess and I'm tired and overwhelmed. I know all the things I need to do but I've been cleaning for seven hours and I'm hitting a wall.

Pretty okay! I missed my bloodwork appointment* but I did get an olive tree and a hydrangea, have decided what my art piece is for Summer of Horror, and picked what next round of seeds I'm going to start indoors!

*it's for ADHD medication

Fine, mostly. Helped rescue (another!) wee kitty and her four newborn kits, with my co-worker, who was having a bit of a breakdown over this poor creature. Hopefully all is well, kitty is at the vet overnight after a surgery.

Well, work was okay, got a bunch done. had a massive headache all day. But this evening I got a really nice massage and am feeling pretty good right now.

Well, I broke a tooth two weeks ago, so today was drilling out the filling and double-checking the fit of the temporary crown so they can make the permanent crown.

My jaw hurts.

Last day of work before a long weekend! Most people at work seem irritated but I'm just trying to focus on work tasks so the day can end faster.

A little stressed since I'll have to prepare and pack for a camping trip this weekend when I get off work. I'm a little excited for the trip since the place I'm going to is really pretty and I enjoy the company of the friends I'm going with.

It's just, I feel so tired and I want a break from the world. I just want a day to sleep in bed and not be bothered by anyone. I took next Monday off so I hope to get to do that once I return from my trip.
For a couple weeks now I've had to help my mom with healthcare stuff and paperwork and I've had to take care of other things on top of that (car maintenance, making time to hang out with friends and family, grocery shopping, shopping for clothes). Whenever I have a lot on my plate, even if I'm doing things I enjoy with others (like going out), I just feel really drained and worn down. I feel like I need to find room to not do things in order to feel peace return to me. And IDK guess I'm still working on my feelings of guilt when I need time to myself to literally rest...or I worry that the restless feelings have more to do with underlying issues.

I memorized It's The End of The World by REM, We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel, and Hook by Blues Traveler as a kid because I thought it was a neat party trick.

I am pretty sure I can name all of the original 150 Pokemon.

Lots of songs unintentionally.

I watched Shrek and The Nightmare Before Christmas so much as a kid that I can recite both movies from beginning to end.

I have the dumbest stuff memorized but it's never on purpose. Like old 80s theme songs or commercials. Pointless.

I used to have Hamlet's To Be or Not To Be soliloquy memorized, but alas most of it is gone now. I had a lot of poems memorized at some point, but they are nearly all gone now too. My memory has gone to shit in the past few years. It's to the point that I'm convinced something is wrong with my brain, but so far tests all come back clear.

I memorized Edward Gorey’s Gashlycrumb Tinies when I was in my early teens. I used to recite it to myself when I got bored and I can still do it.
