I have the dumbest stuff memorized but it's never on purpose. Like old 80s theme songs or commercials. Pointless.

I used to have Hamlet's To Be or Not To Be soliloquy memorized, but alas most of it is gone now. I had a lot of poems memorized at some point, but they are nearly all gone now too. My memory has gone to shit in the past few years. It's to the point that I'm convinced something is wrong with my brain, but so far tests all come back clear.

Speaking of nonsense, I still remember the jingle from some channel’s end of year wrap-up in the early 2000s.

At the same time, I’ve also lost a lot of the poetry I used to know. I think songs are easier. Even when it rhymes, poetry doesn’t have the reinforcement of a tune behind it.
