I listen to audiobooks a lot because I can’t always read. And I definitely have to pause or rewind because whatever task I’m doing took my attention away. But I’ve never experienced any issues with it showing that it wasn’t written to be read aloud. People have been reading text aloud for centuries without issues. Any halfway decent narrator will, at minimum, read the story to the listener. Any narrator who sucks so much that they can’t do that is buried so far on lists and search results that you’d struggle to find their work.
