This sounds wonderful and like something I should really adopt as a habit.

I’m always disappointed to find that an actor hasn’t done any audiobooks, but some of them have and I should be more willing to try those books outside my normal genres.

Simm, the DW Master actor, narrates so well. Cabin Pressure with Camberbatch Banicoot also comes to mind. It's not exactly audiobooks but still. Tbh I can't remember any actor doing aiudiobook. It's kinda low tier job.

I did this a couple of times, but unfortunately I cannot focus on audiobooks even if the voice reading them is lovely. I get bored in 3 seconds if it's the only thing that I'm doing, I forget to listen if I'm doing something else =(

Like, I'll look up an unboxing video if it's specifically of something I'd been considering spending money on, and there's going to be some product review aspect or I need to know what the packaging is like on something that has to ship a long way/might be fragile, or like... 'here's an idea of what this subscription box has in it' before I commit to that kind of a thing. But I really don't get the ones that are just unboxing, no like... serious information. And I don't get the appeal in watching people unbox just anything.

it is commercial though in a lot of cases, unboxing channels do get sent products to unbox by the companies who make the product so the people watching will buy the product as a result. It IS the new home shopping.

Myself, I do watch them for product info before I make a purchase and like the other commenter said, in that case I want ALL the info about the product. None of this ASMR unboxing where they just unbox it. Pull the product out and show it to me, show me how it works, show the manual and how to set it up etc. Show it in use and whether its worth me spending what little I have on it.

OP who are you, and why did you make a secret about the best sitcom ever? This silly sitcom is 100/10, a perfection, second only to When Things Were Rotten and Sledge Hammer. A pearl among UK tv series, a true gem.

As soon as I saw that art-style the theme tune sprang into my head. I'm going to have to go and watch it on YouTube now or it'll be stuck there for hours.

A live action remake would be absolutely fantastic.

I agree. And especially in fantasy/scifi stuff where the author either drew the art or approved of it. I've happily spent a bunch of extra cash on the versions of LOTR, the Hobbit, etc. that have Tolkien's artwork included.

The CW show had its issues but at least the cast wasn't one of them. I would've loved to see them on the big screen.

Don't know this specific example, but yes. Stop it. Also goes for "Erasing" / "Setting them back to factory default" / "Computer virus overwrote / Wiped her personality" and all that other bullshit they pull. I will make an allowance for the "Luckily her hard drive survived so we rebuilt her" fakeout but ONLY if it's done in the same instalment. No keeping her dead as a fakeout until the sequel.

I'm currently on hour 10 of driving to Albuquerque. We are only staying a day but it is good training for the niblings for future trips. Tomorrow we'll be going to the museums in ABQ and Old Town. Then driving back on Sunday. Then I have to drive back on Monday to my house. 🫠
