Lots of people assume that if you don't want to hear the same argument rehashed for the millionth time, you're not on their side and therefore the enemy.

I think of those people as "my escapism is the only moral escapism" ones. May their fanfics be full of fictional characters explaining what pansexuality is, with no escape.

Yup. And they also assume if you want fandom with no politics that means you don't engage in politics anywhere in your life. They are children.

it sucks to have politics brought up everywhere. sometimes i just want to turn my brain off and enjoy something without having to bring real world shit in. i spend enough time upset about the state of things, i would like to have some small shriveled flowers of joy that aren't tainted by trump etc
