A common trope in Chinese Xianxia novels that I will likely never get used to is how whenever they use the transmigration or reincarnation plot devices, the bodies the main characters get stuck in are the bodies of recently deceased other characters and/or their own, long deceased but magically preserved original bodies get brought in.
It's all weirdly necrophilic to me/has a bit of a zombie vibe and that something I'm very much not into. I manage to ignore it for the most part because ~magic~, but ....ew.
