Yeah probably I’m not them but I too assume so. I agree with you.

But if they genuinely believed they had found the love of their lives each time, and married The Love of Their Life (because they could and in their mind it really mattered until t didn’t) were they impulsive or just dumb/guillible/naive?

Yes. I fear most people in here are talking apples vs oranges to me but what you’re saying is sort of what I think too. What I think is that there are so many thoughts and reasons and feelings both conscious and unconscious behind actions that it’s often hard to tell or weigh. And sometimes the most seemingly impulsive action is very rational and the opposite (ie marrying because you can) too.

But that's why people are replying like, "people think I'm impulsive but I'm not, they're just surprised because they, from their limited perspective, didn't expect something of me."

That doesn't make the original question meaningless. Impulsive has a meaning and people are answering the question posed.

Makes sense. I’m chronically anxious so maybe I just can’t imagine from my perspective. I’m always like I think I’m rational but I’m constantly disturbed by the seen and unseen and can’t imagine being unfazed and unbothered so I’m both and perceive both in myself but yeah
