You’re not wrong OP, she’s very standard pop, nothing overly standout in style or vocals but her lyrics are usually pretty funny and that’s why I like some of her songs.

I like that her lyrics are what make her stand out. I also initially wrote her off as another pop star who I might hear some hits with in which I can tolerate/enjoy passively, but it's been fun to learn what the lyrics are to her songs. They also make me appreciate the delivery. I end up liking the songs more and I tend to have at least a couple moments in her songs where I really enjoy singing along to the lyrics.
