I have no idea who is supposed to be who in that picture; they don't even come across as sisters. Even though I love this book, it might be for the best to skip this entirely, it's not like I managed to watch Persuasion more than ten minutes.

I didn't notice that Lydia is a redhead in this pic! Since in the book she calls Miss King a nasty little freckled thing (or words to that effect, can't be bothered to look them up now) that implies to me that Miss King is a redhead. So that would make no sense to me.

But I'll watch it for Olivia Colman and Fiona Shaw. I think Rufus Sewell is going to be in it too?

...you can be freckled without being a redhead, and a redhead without being freckled.

Oh, reelly?

Agree. They just look like a random group of women. I'm not sure why I feel like I ought to be able to identify which sister is which from a photo, but... you could with the 1995 and 2005 versions.

I doubt it will be faithful. Austen adaptations aren’t made for Austen fans; they’re made to be milquetoast family entertainment.

I have been disappointed by adaptations from novels so many times that I no longer have expectations here.

Just read the book again, jeez.

If it makes you feel any better, Lydia is actually the blonde second from the right.
Left to right, Elizabeth (Emma Corrin), Jane (Freya Mavor), Mrs. Bennet (Olivia Colman), (Mary) Hopey Parish, Lydia (Rhea Norwood), and Kitty (Hollie Avery)

I'm not that big a fan of Austen, yet Netflix had been able to annoy me with their period pieces. I want to believe this will be a good adaptation but I'm really skeptical. I do like the look of the cast and costumes however.
