Which accents do you find very attractive, either in general or in one particular case? Any actors or characters whose voices especially do it for you?

Alternatively… are there any accents/voices generally seen as sexy that are an absolute turn-off for you personally?

The classic: French, russian, spanish.

The only possibly controversial one might be southern? The southern belle type? Yeah, Say "Shuhger" again, Rogue...

Man, I hate southern accents so much as someone from the South, lol.

As a transplant to the South, it absolutely depends on region. There are some that I can't stand and some I admit to finding a little charming.

I grew up in Massachusetts though and cannot stand a Boston accent. I once heard someone say it was sexy and I was just baffled.

See I'd have thought the same thing... "NO one is getting off to Peter Griffin"

Then I heard Kirshes native accent. Kinda charming, NGL.

I personally like deep male voices, don’t care about accents.

What I hate is when I can’t understand what someone is saying, because they mumble or slur their words or some such thing. Please, I struggle to hear anyway, don’t make it harder.

Any/any is a weird answer I guess, but there's a sliding spectrum of it for me. At one end there's accents so soft they're barely present, and at the other there's accents so strong they're barely intelligible in the language they're speaking. If no accent is 0 and unintelligible is 10, most accents sound nice to me at 3 or lower but it's hard to appreciate anything 7+ because I'm spending too much energy trying to parse the words at that point

I always liked Richard Armitage's voice, dating back from North and South. Still one of my fave period dramas.

Scottish, Irish (specifically the southern regions, but all of them), Russian, Ukrainian, some African accents but I am woefully ignorant about which accents go with with regions. I just know some are more attractive to me than others. I like northern England accents, which is apparently not cool? Idk my English in-laws said it's the equivalent of liking the Jersey Shore accent, but I likes what I likes.

I feel you with African accents! I find some of them just so nice, but I don't know enough to hear what part of Africa.

I found Alan Rickman's voice very sexy whatever accent he was doing.

Similar for Meryl Streep (not EVERY accent, though. Not particularly hot for Julia Child, personally.)

I like Gillian Anderson's American accent more than her UK one. I guess because she played Maggie Thatcher, lol.

I don’t think there are regional accents that I especially like, but with the actors I love, I tend to love their voices maybe even more than their looks.

It's not just you.

Australian. Most European ones. Some Hispanic ones.

I don't think I've heard heard a non-American accent and thought it was ugly or unattractive/didn't like. I love to watch 'foreign' tv shows and movies with subs so I can hear the actual actor's voices and the language. It's just...really cool.
And there are some fun American accents, too, but then also a few that are tainted by bigoted garbage (like the hillbilly twang around where I live) that I cold really do without.

I love listening to Robert Carlyle talk with his actual accent, it's gorgeous and his voice is and he is.... *cough*

I looooove European accents. British accents make melt as do Australian. Those mainly hahahaha
