Modern AUs for scifi/fantasy fandoms. Especially coffee house AUs. They all invariably are massively OOC.

Sadly, I love them for GoT. At least for Braime fics.

I just personally love being in a fantasy or futuristic world. For me I just have no interest in a modern AU. I find it is more often OOC, but even if it was in character, it just doesn't interest me at all.

Fantasy -> modern AU with magic is great, especially if they keep fantasy races as well. Mundane modern AU no thank you.

I think a coffee house AU, as in the eighteenth century institutions, would be an interesting take. Lots of politicking and skulduggery, and probably a murder or two.
