College AUs. At least with highschool AUs there's this fun sort of nostalgia veneer on it that's fun to play with. But college AUs, especially when the characters are already at or around college-age, usually end up just being highschool with alcohol and swearing.

Granted, that kind of is college to some extent, but there's just a lack of depth that's hard to put into words.

I don't really care for any kind of school AUs, regardless of level. Though, a professor AU can be fun.
