Yeah, the first one was. That one was definitely my favorite. *___*

XD; I thought it was a nice ending. That wasn't in the manga, either? I've only read bits and pieces of the manga, so. =/

XD Actually, the manga only goes up to the end of the Jinchuu arc with Yukishiro Enishi, and then skips forward five years to when Kenshin is married to Kaoru, and they have their son (Kenji). It's just a chapter long, but it revolves around Yahiko, and Kenshin giving the sakabatou to him as a coming-of-age gift. So.

No, it isn't in the manga.

WOW I'M A DORK.

Ohhh, okay. Yeah, I knew who Kenji was, just didn't know how far the manga itself actually went.

XD IT'S COOL, I"M THE SAME WAY WITH OTHER SERIES? 8D;

Yup! That's how volume twenty-eight ends, and there was actually much rejoicing, since buying manga was a strain on my wallet that I wanted to save for other things (Lolita), and Kenshin was the last series I was actually still buying (the rest I get scanlations of...or I just translate them myself XD).

THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW. XDDD

Haha, I know how that is. I've ended up collecting quite a few volumes of manga and I can't say it was cheap. :'( And translating them yourself is an amazing idea. I do that, too. 8D; Saves me so much time and money~

XDD YES. YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN YOUR FANGIRLING WAYS? ♥

I probably dropped over $1000 on manga over a five or six year period (and I'm not kidding...I have over one hundred volumes back at my parents' house). SUCH a waste of money, especially because the translations (ESPECIALLY VIZ, AUGH) are usually pretty inaccurate.

Translating yourself is fun, but sometimes I don't want to have to think, so I download a scanlation or two. X3

WOO. YAY.

[identity profile] dusk.livejournal.com 2007-04-17 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I have about two hundred or so volumes in my posession at the moment, all bought within the last four or five years. And yeah, the translations are sometimes so off it makes me sad (which is why I stopped buying the FMA manga), but some series are impossible to find scanlations for so I just buy it. (For example, Clover. I can never find scanlations of that series, so I bought it.)

And yeah, same here. XD If I'm really excited about what's going to happen next, though, I'll translate it myself. 8D'
