9. That picture is terrifying to me. First of all, what did the L cosplayer do to their eyes?! If those are contacts, I don't want to know how much they spent on them. And secondly, Light....reminds me way too much of Loki in that outfit. It's the black and the poofy white cravat and the hair, I guess, but. Loki/L, my brain weeps so.

Oh, right, the actual secret. I think you have a point on them not being *amazing*, but very few people can pull off a character perfectly no matter what race they are. It's the whole elevating them above all other cosplayers I see sometimes that annoys me, so in that case, agreed.

5. I've never watched it but I've read the book (yeah, the original 1000+page horror. Hated reading it because of the awful wordy style. D:). Loved the book, though!

I'm the original poster of the secret that number one is based on. No, I haven't told the person it was aimed towards yet, and I'm not sure that I ever intend to. That person isn't actually a fandom friend--we knew each other for years in real life before we graduated high school a couple years back and went our separate ways. We're both in college out of state, so the only time we ever interact anymore is in a purely fandom setting. That person and I have never been terribly close, but lately they've been posting a slew of comments to my personal journal, all overly-critical of me. I made that secret as a way to vent my frustration at the person in a non-confrontational way. I've never been good at showing my true feelings, so this was a good way to get it out there, since the person frequents this community. They'll never know that it's about them, but at least I know that they saw it.

I'm sorry that it made you feel that way.

Oh, and 12? I'm the same way. The anime SUCKED in comparison to the manga.

12. The manga was SO MUCH BETTER than the anime. You're totally justified in that. XD I do the same thing with Rurouni Kenshin. The anime makes my brain liquefy and come out of my ears!

12. I've seen very few situations where an anime series is better than the manga. Actually... I don't think I can name one off the top of my head. The Tokyo Mew Mew manga was so cute and I loved it, but the anime (the original, even) is rather boring and pales in comparison to me...

IMO, I think manga just does a better job of telling the story and fleshing out characters. Anime series are shiny because they have color and voices, but I prefer reading manga in most cases.

9. People say Asian cosplayers are better because most of their costumes look better. It's not about the race or gender or whatever of the person who's wearing the costume.
