Some of my favorite episodes are really good filler ones, some of my favorite episodes are really good arc ones. I think a good tv show has a mix of both.

Same, I love both. I think OP is overgeneralizing a lot here. I'm not sure where they obtained their data. For years, I heard about people disliking filler episodes and loving arc ones. I think now that fillers are less available, more people realize what they lost. But that doesn't automatically mean they stop loving arc episodes, or that most of them prefer fillers over arc episodes.

This. Also, "filler episodes" is a very broad term. The good kind has a lot of strong character moments and/or explores something about the world/setting of the particular show. The bad kind does nothing to strengthen any part of the show, is just there to take up space. The first kind is good, but the second kind is not.
