I love that DS9 had Odo be a fascist cop, right out the gate, but hate that they never came out and explicitly said this. Usually letting the viewer come to the conclusion on their own works out, but in this case, despite the plethora of evidence, a huge chunk of the viewership never did. He was always "one of the good ones" to them.
